Our Story
How 88ji Became the Platform Filipinos Trust
The name 88ji carries a lot of meaning. In Chinese tradition, the number 8 is considered extremely lucky — it symbolises prosperity, wealth, and good fortune. We chose it because that's exactly what we want for every player who joins our community: a platform where luck can actually find you, backed by real systems, real fairness, and real care.
88ji started with a simple observation: Filipino online bettors were being underserved. The platforms available at the time were either designed for foreign markets, difficult to use on mobile data, slow to pay out winnings, or simply did not offer the games that Filipinos actually enjoy. Our founding team — made up of tech professionals and gaming industry veterans with deep roots in the Philippines — decided it was time to build something better.
From the very beginning, we focused on three things: game variety that resonates with Filipino culture, a seamless mobile experience, and payment methods that Filipinos actually use. That's why 88ji supports GCash, Maya, GrabPay, Coins.ph, InstaPay, PESONet, and all major local bank transfers including BDO, BPI, and UnionBank. We also accept Visa and Mastercard for players who prefer card payments. We wanted zero friction between you and your winnings.
Today, 88ji offers a full suite of gaming options. Sports betting fans can wager on local and international events, including the biggest NBA games of the season. MMA enthusiasts can catch every major fight card and bet on their favourite fighters with live, in-play odds. Kabayan who love traditional Filipino card games can enjoy Tongits, while Sabong fans get access to digital cockfighting that honours this deeply rooted Filipino tradition. And of course, our Slots library gives everyone a shot at life-changing jackpots at every budget level.
Virtual Sports on 88ji is another game-changer. When there are no live events to bet on, Virtual Sports simulates realistic matches and races 24/7, so the excitement never stops. Whether it's virtual football, basketball, or horse racing, the action is always on at 88ji.
We are proud to say that 88ji has paid out over ₱1,000,000,000 in winnings to our players since launch. Every peso you win is yours, and we make sure it reaches you quickly. Our internal goal is to process all withdrawal requests within minutes during peak hours — and we back that up with real performance data reviewed by our operations team weekly.
Responsible gaming is not just a legal checkbox for us. We genuinely believe that the best gaming experience is a sustainable one. If you ever feel like your gaming habits are becoming a concern, 88ji provides tools to help — including daily, weekly, and monthly deposit limits, session time reminders, temporary account cooling-off periods, and full self-exclusion options. Visit our Responsible Gaming page to learn more. We want you to enjoy 88ji for years to come, not burn out after a bad week.
Our customer support team is another point of pride. We have Filipino agents available around the clock — people who speak your language, understand your concerns, and are genuinely motivated to resolve your issues fast. Whether your question is about a missing deposit, a bonus claim, or just learning how a new game works, we're here for you every step of the way.
Looking ahead, 88ji is continuously investing in new features, more game titles, better odds, and bigger promotions. We're working on exciting partnerships with leading game providers to bring more exclusive content to our platform. We're also enhancing our loyalty programme so that long-time players get rewarded even more generously for their continued trust.
If you haven't tried 88ji yet, tara na — join hundreds of thousands of Filipino players who have already made 88ji their go-to gaming destination. Registration is free, takes less than two minutes, and you'll have access to everything the platform has to offer right away. And if you're a returning player, salamat — your trust and loyalty is what drives everything we do.
At the end of the day, 88ji is more than an online casino. It's a community. It's the place where Filipinos come to have fun, test their luck, celebrate their wins, and enjoy world-class entertainment — all from the comfort of home, a commute, or wherever life takes them. We are honoured to be part of your gaming journey, and we promise to keep earning your trust every single day.
